Snowy Owls, White-tailed Deer and Surf Scooters adapt to winter while folks stay toasty warm indoors and ponder the movement of the tide in relation to the moon. A frigid arctic blast plunges temperature readings across the entire state below zero with wind chills below -30F in the north.

Scallop dragging in Reversing Falls. This is a tricky piece of water and several boats have been lost here recently. Must be a pretty cold business, as the sea smoke ices up everything. Sunrise Last Fall
